Tips for starting out in a new server, Granado Espada SEA.
With the new upcoming server announced by IMC this coming 25th October 2017 (1st Nov 2017 for users without the 7 days early access), everyone will be starting out with a fresh new account and a boatload of questing and grinding to do. So, I'm going to start writing and posting new guides in order to help new & returning players to help get your foothold onto this new server. I hope this guide will help you out in some way or form.
* Note that some things may have been altered due to the new server or due to patches which I am unaware of as I am writing most of this guide before the servers even come up. Most of my knowledge of the game is from the former SGE server which has been closed.
Basic character creation
(skip if you're an experienced player)
First off, we should start off with getting your basic characters created and which characters will suite your needs best. Down below will list all the 5 basic characters(Neo will not be included) which will be available to be created as soon as you create your account. This is for new players starting out in this server who have not played GE before, so if you are fairly experienced or have already decided on which characters to create at the start, feel free to skip this segment.
Fighter
Fighters are the melee equivalent of Jack of All Trades, Master of None. Being able to tank whilst also dealing decent damage on Greatsword's Hanging Guard stance, Polearm's Tornada Cruz or Sword's Equites stance while on the other hand, they're also a decent tank when using Blunt+Shield's Crusader Stance and their personal skill Provoke.
Note: Fighters are your 3rd best choice when it comes to tankers, 2nd being Coimbra Trooper who's quest is easy and low level, so they are easily obtainable and 1st being Sirius who's quest line is late into game and will probably take you many many hours of questing before you get him.
Having a fighter is essential if you intend on having a well balanced team with a tanky front liner in order to complete difficult quests which requires you to fight quest bosses. This may not seem important at the start but after getting higher up and doing more difficult quests, they will come in handy as a backup tank until you obtain a better replacement.
Fighter's obtain the Javelin+Shield's Peltast stance automatically upon reach Expert level, so if you're low on budget and cannot afford Crusader stance for either your Fighter or a Coimbra Trooper, I would recommend just tanking on Javelin stance. For better tanking on a Fighter, I would still recommend obtaining and training Crusader Stance as it is the best choice for tanking.
Musketeer
Musketeers are medium-long range attackers with decent DPS on Pistol+Pistol Unlimited Stance while also having a decent Character Buff which gives ATK Level 2. Musketeers are without a doubt one of the best characters to start out with as they have no bad qualities and can be used until the point where you decide to replace them with a better DPS character once you obtain them.
The only downside to using a Musketeer is that their best stance requires you to obtain two pistols which could end up eating your budget or time obtaining/crafting them. If you are looking for a character that has no cost to just AFK with in low-level maps to obtain miscellaneous items or equipment drops to sell, Musketeers are one of your best choices.
Elementalist
Elementalists are have the highest burst damage among all the basic characters while having the lowest HP stat of 40 and also having the Robe armor class which has the least amount of DEF but have high RES and , so they are basically glass cannons when it comes to taking physical damage but have decent def against magic damage.
Elementalists have 3 expert stances, but only 2 of them are necessary in order to maximize your DPS. Both of which are Occult Assistance & Elemental Master. Occult Assistance is only used to buff your characters while Elemental Master is used to DPS. Only one Bracelet of any type is needed in order to use Elemental Master while you can use any spare/junk Special Bracelets x2 just to use Occult Assitance Stance and buff up your characters.
Scout
Scouts are healers and buffers which are needed in every 3 character party unless you wish to spend a lot of money on Cash Consumables. While having access to the stance Enhanced Tactics which are the basic buffing stance every player needs, they also have access to Combat Medicine which gives unique and decent buffs to help you out and they also have access to Tactical Assistance which lets them refresh all cooldowns of a single character.
While there are many recruitable characters that have access to Enhanced Tactics, scouts are the tankiest choice out there and are without a doubt a decent choice.
Wizard
Wizards, in my opinion have been the most neglected basic character out of all 5 of these. The devs just simply have no clue what they're doing with them, they have decent debuffs and can also give unique wizard class buffs but for some reason deal physical damage with their Telekinesis stance. Overall they are a weird character that doesn't have much uses because whatever they can do, other characters can do better. Overall, I don't recommend having a Wizard as a starter, while they are cool.... it's just a waste.
Raiding
These will be a list on which raids will be useful, popular, easy and provide profit. These will be for experienced and geared players whose characters are Expert-High Master. I will be just list them in no particular order for now until the servers come up for me to give better explanations on them once I observe the server's player movement and gear quality. For now, those who are geared and ready can check out my Daily Missions Guide(Solo) (I will update the guide with more explanations, add more screenshots and include more missions at a later date.)
